Chief Justice John Roberts - Misguided Betrayal

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts, appointed by President George W Bush betrayed the Conservative movement and our nation by voting with the four Socialists Judges on the Supreme Court to uphold ObamaCare.  It is reported that Roberts changed his vote within the last month to appease the left wing media and Obamanistas that were saying vicious things about the Court.  Supposedly, Roberts was concerned about the Court's standing with the left wing political elite, as though that mattered because Roberts was afraid of their criticism, again as though that mattered.    As such, Roberts devised a basis to hold ObamaCare Constitutional, not as a result of the the Commerce Clause in the Constitution, which was Obama's argument; but rather on the basis of the General Welfare clause that provides the federal government presumably now unlimited taxing authority. 

Roberts intellectually weak argument is perhaps the most dangerous of all.   Roberts conclusion that the federal government can use its taxing authority to force the American people to do almost anything by assessing fines, or taxes until there is compliance, or jail is a road to tyranny and a loss of our freedom.    Roberts has made the IRS the nation's enforcer, no different than the Gestapo in Nazi Germany, or the KGB in the Communist Soviet Union.  We all must now fear the federal government as a threat to our freedom; though this is nothing new.   For more than 100 years of Socialist Creep, we have been losing our freedom. 

Chief Justice John Roberts was supposed to be a limited government Conservative; but his ObamaCare ruling proves that he is no such thing.   Conservative judges on the Supreme Court, Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Kennedy, often thought to be the swing vote, literally tore Roberts convoluted argument to shreds in the minority opinion on ObamaCare because there was no logical legal basis for Roberts conclusion.   The reality is that John Roberts need to be loved was the basis for his vote, not sound legal thinking.   In that sense, Roberts and Obama have much in common. 

In the process, while Roberts in now the darling of left wing Socialists, Roberts has lost his standing as a brilliant jurist.   Chief Justice John Roberts is now nothing more than a political hack with a good education.   And, no matter what additional cases may come before Roberts in the future, he will never live down this poor decision.  John Roberts will never again be able to walk the street without facing severe criticism and disdain.  John Roberts is now a pariah that many will dislike rather than revere and respect.

We have to take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by sweeping Socialists at all levels of government, including President Obama, out of office.  Supreme Court appointments are another good reason we must make Obama a one term President.   We simply cannot risk an Obama second term when he will appoint other Socialists to the Supreme Court as vacancies come up.  Ideologue Socialist judges always vote as Socialists, apparently unlike John Roberts, who was supposed to be a Conservative.   

We have to roll back 100 years of Socialist Creep.  To do it, we must win the Presidency and take over the Congress.  And, when it comes to appointing judges to the Supreme Court, we must insist that Republicans appoint real Conservatives not RINO's like John Roberts.   And, in the event Obama were to win reelection, there must be filibusters to deny him radical Socialist court appointments.  No more reaching across the aisle with these Socialists.  We have to take back our country.   We can do it.  We must do to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
