Energy - Socialists Living In A Dream World

Socialists, like President Obama and his radical environmentalist supporters that believe that renewable energy like solar, wind, geothermal and bio fuels can power a modern, industrialized nation, like the United States, are living in a dream world.  The entire state of Connecticut would have to be covered with solar panels just to power New York City alone.  Even if all deserts and farm lands in the US were covered with solar panels and wind mills, they could not replace the energy we get from coal, oil and nuclear power.  And, based on current technology, the only way to make renewables feasible, is to artificially raise the cost of carbon and nuclear energy so high that renewables are cost effective.

In fact, that is Obama's Energy Plan.   Socialist President Obama has said that under his Energy Plan the cost of energy would have to artificially "skyrocket" by government social engineering, which is just plain crazy and unnecessary.  Raising the cost of energy is a job killer that would result in a lower standard of living for all Americans.   Why would any President propose something so stupid.   The answer is global warming, or the supposed threat from global warming.   But, even if global warming is real, world Socialist reaction to it is completely wrong.

While research should continue on renewables so that one day they might become economically feasible, we should instead focus on making carbon and nuclear energy cleaner, safer and more readily available.   Our goal should be to make energy cheaper, not more expensive, by producing more of it to raise the standard of living for all people in the world.  And, contrary to Socialist proclamations, there is no shortage of oil reserves, gas and oil shale, clean coal, or nuclear energy.   The fact is that based on current usage, the world is sitting on 150 - 200 years worth of crude oil, natural gas liquids and oil and gas shale reserves based on what we know today; not even future discoveries.   We have several hundred years worth of coal reserves.   And, nuclear energy capabilities are almost limitless, since spent fuels can be reprocessed.

Clearly, we need an all of the above 50 year Energy Plan to make the United States completely energy independent.   The US has the resources in our country to make it happen; but it will never happen as long as Socialists, living in a dream world, are in power.  It is time for a common sense energy plan that both protects the environment and allows for development of all energy sources in the US; oil, clean coal, natural gas, oil and gas shale and nuclear energy along with more research on renewables.

Yes, we should work to make all these energy sources cleaner, safer, more readily available and cheaper; but we must recognize that all energy sources must be in development to make the United States energy independent.   This is also a national security issue.   We cannot remain dependent on foreign countries, some of which are our enemies, for energy.   It has to stop.

None of this will happen as long as Socialists, including President Obama, are in government, which is another reason we must sweep them all out of office in 2012 and 2014.   We must elect Conservatives that support energy independence for the United States and that recognize that we must develop all our energy sources in a clean and safe way to get there.   We can do it.  We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and our way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.  In the mean time, when you hear Socialist President Obama speak of his Energy Plan during campaign speeches, just know that Obama is living in a dream world and that his solution to our energy needs are higher prices and nothing more.
