Causes Of Income Inequality In America

In their Class Warfare argument, or really the politics of envy, Socialists like President Obama always speak of growing income inequality in America.   The fact is there has always been and there will always be income inequality in America and every country in the world.   It really relates to the Have's and the Have Not's; but this Blogger is not referring to money; though money is usually the by-product.  Income equality occurs because some people are smart, well educated and willing to work harder than others, while other people are less intelligent, poorly educated and unwilling to work hard.   It is what it is.  To assume that all people have the same intelligence, or capabilities is ridiculous.   And, this has nothing to do with race or ethnic background.  Smart people, willing to work hard, exist in all races and ethic backgrounds. 

However, the income inequality divide in the US is widening because our public schools are failing in the inner cities of our country.   And, it is not for lack of money, as always said by Socialists, because the US spends more money on public education that any other country in the world.  Instead, there has been a direct correlation between the growth of teacher unions in the last 40 years and the decline of public education.   As a result, it is almost impossible to fire an incompetent teacher.   Teacher unions oppose merit pay to reward outstanding teachers.   And, of course, teacher union oppose School Vouchers to allow the poor to escape failing inner city public schools.   So there are smart kids stuck in public schools with little to offer them.   Many will rise above it; but the odds are not as good had those kids gone to better schools. 

But there are also other factors contributing to income inequality.   7 out of 10 Black babies are born out of wedlock.  4 out of 10 White babies are born out of Wedlock.   Children are being raised by single Mom's often poor and uneducated.  It is hard enough to raise children in a healthy, loving, intact, two parent family; let alone in a family where the dad is missing in action and providing no family support.   Many of these single parent families are on Welfare and Food Stamps, which often creates a vicious cycle of poverty that is never ending.   This is our under class.

Socialists, in power, thrive on government dependence so they have no real incentive to break this cycle.  In fact, since Obama was elected, the number of people on Food Stamps have grown from 26 million to 46 million.  67 million Americans now get some kind of federal government support, a record number.   Obama is hoping that these people, on the dole, will be his ticket to reelection as he promises them even more entitlements.   Socialists do everything they can to have government replace the traditional family because it is their ticket to power.  This is part of the culture war going on in our country, which includes the left wing attack on the traditional family and religious, moral values that conflict with secular values. 

Illegal Aliens are sapping city, county, state and federal government resources.   Billions of dollars are being spent to educate and provide medical and criminal justice services to people who are not citizens of the United States.  It is a fallacy to say that somehow Illegal Aliens pay for these services.  That is just not true because they don't earn enough to pay income taxes.   Illegal Aliens are in the 50% of Americans that pay no income taxes at all.  Presumably, Illegal Aliens are included in the working poor.  

Drug and other substance addiction is destroying our inner cities.  Aside from the crime that makes living in American inner cities a war zone,  substance abuse is another cause of income inequality.  Obviously, those addicted to drugs generally are not the most productive people in our country.   We have to secure our border both to stop the Illegal Alien in flow; but also to stop the drugs from coming into our country that are destroying our inner cities and contributing to income inequality.   

These are the real causes of income inequality in America.  This is another reason we must sweep Socialists, including President Obama, out of office in 2012 and 2014.  Socialists will do nothing to address the issues that create income inequality because it is the basis for their election and remaining in power.  Socialist continue feeding at the trough, often becoming millionaires, from years in public office.   Why on earth would they want these societal problems to go away when creating more of their PEEP's, dependent on government, is the basis for Socialists staying in power to continue feeding at the trough.  

We have got to push back 100 years of Socialist Creep to deal with income inequality in America.  If we fail, the gap will get even greater.   In doing so, we must deal with failing public schools, support for traditional families and securing our border to stop the flow of Illegal Aliens and drugs into our country.   We have to elect Conservatives committed to helping the poor help themselves.  We can do it.  We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.  

In the mean time, whenever you hear Socialists speak of income inequality, just know that their misguided policies during the last 100 years are the root cause.   Despite spending trillions of dollars, particularly since 1965, to eliminate poverty in America, the poverty rate has not declined.  So why continue doing same old, same old Socialist Schemes that do not work.   It is time for real change, based on free market principles, not more of the same failed Socialist programs that just throw our money at the problem.
