Congressman Paul Ryan - My Hero

Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the brilliant Chairman of the House of Representative Budget Committee is my hero.   Finally, we have an elected representative in Washington DC with the guts to put forward a 2012 federal budget that will cut $5 Trillion in spending in the next 10 years to prevent the bankrupcy of the United States.  To make this happen, Ryan is proposing major changes to Social Security and Medicare, for those under 55 years of age, and Medicaid along with many other cuts that are long overdue.  Paul Ryan is simply telling the truth.  None of this is brain surgery.   Socialist President Obama's spending trajectory with Trillion dollar deficits projected for each of the next ten years is just not sustainable.  What part of we are broke does the President and all the other Socialists in Congress not understand.

In the mean time in a last minute budget deal to finally nail down the 2011 federal budget, which the Socialists failed to do all last year, No Drama Obama and Senator Dirty Harry Reid, the Socialist Senate Majority Leader finally agreed to $38.5 Billion in budget cuts for this year.    For all the theater in this deal, this is peanuts and about 1% of overall spending.   It amounts to about 4 days of federal govenment spending.   And, when compare to the $1.6 Trillion deficit projected for 2011, it really is chump change.  Honestly, to make this happen late at night to meet the deadline was just ridiculous.   To put this in perspective, this is equal to a family earning $100,000 a year cutting about $1,000 from annual spending.   Big Deal!

The real battle lies ahead, first related to raising the $14.3 Trillion debt ceiling, which must be done soon to allow the federal government to continue borrowing money.   The Republicans should not vote to increase the debt ceiling without a deal to cut spending even more and or a Balanced Budget Amendment to the US Constitution.   And then during the summer, the debate will begin specific to Congressman Ryan's 2012 Budget Proposal.  The Socialists will scream bloody murder and demogue this budget to death.   Obama and his Socialists supporters will claim that the cuts in Ryan's budget, which are serious, will result in children starving,  granny being put on the street or dying, the end of Medicare and Medicaid and actually life as we know it is the United States.   None of this is true.  Socialists know that these cuts are absolutely necessary to prevent the bankrupcy of our country; but as usual they will call for higher taxes, which will never address the Trillions in deficit spending.   In fact, if all taxes were raised by 50%, which would cause a severe Recession, or maybe even a Depression, it would be impossible to end the deficit spending that has been happening for years.

The only way to end the Trillions in deficit spending and prevent the bankrupcy of the United States is to make the serious cuts proposed by Congressman Paul Ryan, or some version of his cuts.   Socialists just can't go down that road because that would mean that their PEEP's on the dole and public employees would suffer some pain.   But there is no other alternative.   These cuts are inevitable to prevent the bankrupcy of our nation and everyone including the Socialists know it.

All of this is setting the stage for the elections of 2012.   The Socialists will claim that Republicans are destroying the New Deal and the Great Society welfare state in order to get their PEEP's to the polls.   Hopefully, the American people will be smart enough to realize that the rubber has hit the road and not fall for the usual fear mongering and lies implemented by the Socialists in every election.   Clearly, the spending cuts needed now will never happen as long as Socialists are in power, which is the reason we must make Obama a one term President and take back the US Senate, as well as, elect more Conservatives at the state level.   We have to finish the job we began in 2010.   We can do it.   We must do it preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
